How to modify your SEO Strategy according to Google Panda and Penguin UpdateAs some of you know, 2 Google Panda Updates (on April 17 and 27), a Google Penguin update (April 24) plus some 50 other algorithm changes were rolled out over the last few months by Google!
The Penguin update seems to be looking at three major factors:
• A majority of a website’s backlinks are low quality, or spammy looking
• A majority of a website’s backlinks are from unrelated websites.
• If too many links are pointing back to a website with exact match keywords in the anchor texts

Building on a foundation of a proper SEO strategy with a solid content marketing strategy via web-pages, articles, blog posts and web 2.0 link building reduces your chances of being penalized by the Google updates.

If your Site was affected by Penguin, here are few suggestions to start cleaning up your site:
-Perform a duplicate content check.
-Check the quality and percentage of your overall links. There are some great free tools to do this.
-Ensure you have a mix of keywords in the incoming links (especially in the anchor text)
-Remove any sponsored links that don’t include a text description next to it.
-Periodically check your web master central for errors and flagged items.
